Hi! I’m a podiatry student!

Not sure what podiatry is?

Want to learn what a day in the life of a podiatry student looks like?

You’re in the right place. I’m here to discuss all things podiatry while on my journey.

What is podiatry?

Podiatry is a medical specialty that diagnoses, treats, and prevents disorders affecting the foot, ankles, and lower limbs. Podiatry addresses a wide range of difficulties that can affect mobility and overall well-being, from common issues like ingrown toenails and plantar fasciitis to more sophisticated ones including foot abnormalities, sports injuries, and diabetic foot care.

A podiatrist, often known as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), is a physician/surgeon who is trained to treat various conditions using both non-surgical and surgical methods.

Whether it’s assisting someone in recovering from an injury, addressing a biomechanical issue, or simply keeping your feet in good form, podiatrists play an important part in keeping you moving comfortably and safely.
